What is the way to overcome the fear of the approaching Day of Judgment and its negative impact on future aspirations, and how can one adhere to the Qur’an and Sunnah to confront these fears?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
You are advised to repel fear by having a good opinion of Allah, for Allah is as His servant expects Him to be. He is capable of providing a husband, righteous offspring, assistance, and success. Recall His vast mercy; if a servant has a good opinion of Him and relies upon Him, Allah will suffice him. As for the Hour, whenever you remember it, ask Allah for His mercy and seek refuge in Him from His torment. Know that fear of it necessitates good deeds and preparation through obedience, not a pathological fear that incapacitates one from worship. Rather, invest this fear in drawing closer to Allah and making supplication.
