What is the ruling on naming with "Jannat Na'eem" (Gardens of Bliss), or "Jannat al-Firdaws" (Gardens of Paradise), or "Jannat 'Aliyah" (Elevated Gardens), or "Jannat 'Adn" (Gardens of Eden), or "al-Jannah" (Paradise)?

Naming with names like "Firdaws" (Paradise) and "Jannah" (Garden/Heaven) is disliked for two reasons: First, because it involves self-praise (tazkiyat al-nafs). Second, because these names have become customarily used to refer only to Paradise. Some scholars have prohibited their attribution to anything in this world, as Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, mentioned that naming a restaurant or a hotel "Al-Firdaws" is considered a lie, given that this name is customarily applied only to Paradise.
