ما هي الأحاديث الواردة في استفتاحات الصلاة التسعة؟
Among the opening supplications of prayer (Du’a al-Istiftah), those authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, are:
1. "O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the East from the West. O Allah, cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. O Allah, wash me clean of my sins with snow, water, and hail." 2. "Indeed, I have turned my face sincerely to the One who originated the heavens and the earth, inclining to truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah. Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds, with no partner ascribed to Him. And with this I have been commanded, and I am of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the King, there is no god but You. You are my Lord, and I am Your slave. I have wronged myself and acknowledged my sin, so forgive all my sins, for none forgives sins but You. Guide me to the best of characters, for none guides to the best of them but You. And turn away from me the evil of them, for none turns away the evil of them but You. Here I am at Your service, and all good is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I am by You and to You. Blessed and Exalted are You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You." 3. "Glory and praise be to You, O Allah. Blessed is Your name, exalted is Your majesty, and there is no god other than You." And in the night prayer, it is added: "Allah is the Greatest, Most Great. I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan, from his evil suggestions, his blowing, and his spitting." Or "There is no god but Allah" thrice, then "Allah is the Greatest, Most Great" thrice, "I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan, from his evil suggestions, his blowing, and his spitting." 4. In the night prayer: "O Allah, Lord of Jibreel, Mika'eel, and Israfeel, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your servants concerning that wherein they differ. Guide me by Your permission to the truth in that concerning which they have differed, for indeed You guide to a straight path." 5. In the night prayer: "O Allah, to You belongs all praise, You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and all therein. And to You belongs all praise, You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all therein. And to You belongs all praise, You are the King of the heavens and the earth and all therein. You are the Truth, Your word is the truth, Your promise is the truth, Your meeting is true, Paradise is true, Hellfire is true, the resurrection is true, and the Prophets are true, and Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is true. O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have believed, upon You I have relied, to You I have turned in repentance, for Your sake I have disputed, and to You I have referred for judgment. So forgive me what I have sent forth and what I have held back, what I have declared and what I have concealed. You are the One Who brings forward and the One Who delays. There is no god but You, and there is no might or power except with You."
