What is the ruling on creating free websites that display proselytizing or pornographic advertisements?

It is forbidden to display evangelistic and pornographic advertisements, as well as to assist in doing so. If displaying such advertisements is a condition for creating a free website, then it is not permissible to create it. Sharia prohibits anything that leads to the forbidden, and the means take the حكم (ruling) of their ends, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
