Does suspending the intention to fast until menstruation begins tomorrow invalidate the fast?

The firm intention to fast must be made at night, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever does not make the intention to fast before Fajr, there is no fast for him." If a woman intends to fast and says, "If menstruation occurs, I will break my fast," there is no harm in this, and it is not considered suspending the intention. Rather, her intention to fast is firm. Therefore, a fasting person’s hesitation about breaking their fast, or suspending it based on a condition, does not invalidate the fast. Fasting differs from prayer in this regard. Prayer consists of actions and words, while fasting is abstention and refraining. Actions are more in need of intention than abstention.
