Am I obligated to take money from my mother after she swore not to give it to me, and now she wants to give it to me, while I do not want to take it?

It is permissible to take money from the mother as an act of piety towards her. She must offer expiation for her oath because she broke it. The expiation for an oath is: feeding ten needy persons from the average food, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. It is sufficient for feeding to give half a sa' of the staple food of the country (approximately 1.5 kg of rice with a condiment for each needy person), and the ten recipients must be different. If the mother is unable to do that, she must fast for three days, as Allah Almighty says: (Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for what you intended in [your] oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families, or clothing them, or the freeing of a slave. But whoever finds not [the means] - then a fast of three days. That is the expiation for your oaths when you have sworn. And guard your oaths...) [Al-Ma'idah]. It is advisable to avoid displeasing the mother.
