How can one deal with a close hypocrite who acts hypocritically in matters of work and matters of religion?

You must hate this person's sin, advise him, remind him of God, and explain the evil consequences of his action with gentleness, wisdom, and good counsel. If he repents, then praise be to Allah. Otherwise, speak harshly to him and reprimand him. If he persists, then abandon him if there is a legitimate benefit in abandoning him.
