Is it obligatory for the wife to spend the night at her husband's family's house if the husband requests it, and is she sinful if she asks to return to her own home at night?

A husband does not have the right to force his wife to spend the night at his mother’s house or anyone else’s. There is no sin upon the wife if she refuses to do so. However, the wife is advised to obey her husband by spending the night at his mother’s house if there is no harm to her in doing so, as it is a form of kindness to the husband and his family, brings affection, and demonstrates good character.
