Is the husband required to do anything else after being involved in an accident that led to the death of a non-Muslim man (Sikh) and the insurance company paid his blood money to his family?

Scholars have differed concerning one who accidentally kills a non-Muslim with whom a covenant exists. Most of them obligate him to pay expiation along with blood money (Diyya), which is the freeing of a believing slave. Whoever cannot find one must fast for two consecutive months. Their proof is the Almighty's saying: "And if he was from a people between whom and you there was a covenant, then [there must be] a compensation given to his family and the freeing of a believing slave."
