What is the ruling on fishing by detonating explosives in the sea to kill and collect fish?

The scholars have stated that whoever dies in water due to an accident is judged to be like an animal caught in a net and that dies out of water. As for what is found floating on the sea, the correct view is that it is permissible, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Its water is pure, and its dead (creatures) are lawful."
