What is the ruling on a 25-year-old man marrying a 33-year-old divorced woman without informing his family, given that she is a woman of means, good character, and religiosity, and that she will support herself and her children until he finishes his studies and finds work, bearing in mind that each of them will reside in a different city and they will meet one day a week? And will this marriage be successful?

There is no objection to marrying a divorced woman. There is also no impediment to a wife waiving her right to maintenance and housing. Your marriage without your parents' knowledge is permissible, but if your parents forbid you from marrying this woman, then it is obligatory for you to obey them, unless refraining from marrying her would cause you harm. The success of a marriage depends on choosing a good wife, both spouses adhering to obedience to Allah, living together amicably, and overlooking minor faults.
