Is what happened to the girl considered a sin that necessitates expiation?

If the death of a child is a divine decree and predestination, and there was no negligence, then the parents must be patient and seek reward from Allah; because a Muslim is rewarded for everything that befalls him, especially the death of offspring, if he seeks the reward from Allah Almighty. It is mentioned in the Hadith that Allah commands the angels to build a house of praise (Bayt al-Hamd) in Paradise for whoever praises Allah and says "Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rāji'ūn" (To Allah we belong and to Him is our return) upon the death of their child. Amazing is the affair of the believer, for all of it is good: if ease befalls him, he is grateful, and if hardship befalls him, he is patient. And everything that afflicts a Muslim of harm, Allah expiates his sins by it.
