Is it permissible for a wife to secretly take from her husband's money to spend on her family and the poor?

The wife's maintenance is obligatory upon the husband even if she is wealthy. Her contributing to household expenses with her husband is commendable but not obligatory. It is permissible for the wife to take from her husband's money to cover her obligatory maintenance if he withholds it, even without his knowledge. However, if what she takes exceeds her maintenance, and the shop belongs to the husband and she has no share in it, then it is not permissible for her to take from it except with his permission. If she has a share in the shop, then she may take according to her share, but with his knowledge.
