What is the degree of authenticity of the Hadith "There is no prayer in the presence of food," and does it mean not to stop eating to perform the prayer even if that leads to its delay?

The Prophetic hadiths indicate the detestability of a Muslim praying when food he desires is present, or when he is resisting the two impurities (urine and feces), because this leads to the loss of khushu' (devotion/humility), which is one of the most important objectives of prayer. In this situation, it is recommended for the Muslim to start by eating, and to eat his fill completely, even if he misses congregational prayer. For this reason, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If the evening meal of one of you is served and the prayer is established, then begin with the evening meal, and do not hasten until he finishes it." This indicates preferring the virtue of mental presence over the virtue of praying at the earliest time.
