What is the ruling on asking for supplication from the righteous, or from children, or from those who have gone to the House of Allah to supplicate for us at the Kaaba or the Multazam?

Seeking prayers from the righteous, pilgrims, and those performing Umrah has two aspects: one preferable and one less preferable.

Seeking prayers from children is no different; it may be for their instruction and education, desiring good for them, or simply for the benefit of the one seeking the prayer.

However, the belief that children's supplications are answered because they have not reached puberty is not exclusive to them. The supplication of any Muslim is answered as long as it is not hindered by any impediments to acceptance. The forms of acceptance are varied: either their supplication is hastened, or it is stored for them in the Hereafter, or an equivalent evil is averted from them.
