Am I obligated to pay the remaining amount of a debt after agreeing to a settlement and paying a portion of it, then the creditor realizes he did not record the amount paid?

It appears that the creditor has no right to anything after the reconciliation that took place between him and the debtor because he forfeited his right willingly, and what is forfeited does not return, and reconciliation is final and irrevocable.
