Is it permissible to eat bee larvae?

The larva is one of the stages of a bee, and there is a prohibition against killing bees. If it were permissible to eat them, it would be permissible to kill them, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "He forbade the killing of four animals: the ant, the bee, the hoopoe, and the shrike." Larvae are of the same kind as worms and insects, and the general rule is that they are not permissible, especially if they are intentionally eaten separately and not as part of food or fruit.
