To what extent is reading Surat Al-An'am 41 times for the relief of distress sound, and is it better to persist with one or two of the supplications for distress, or to recite various supplications?

Reciting the Quran is a virtue, but dedicating a specific surah, or a specific number [of recitations], or for a specific need requires a legal proof; otherwise, it would be an innovation (bid‘ah). It is better for the questioner to combine all prophetic invocations (adhkar) in this context as much as she is able, while striving for contemplation and the presence of both heart and tongue. If the questioner finds a greater presence [of heart] and a stronger impact from certain prophetic invocations in particular, then there is no harm in prioritizing them over others.
