What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a female teacher giving an award to a male student, mistakenly thinking he is her brother, and kissing him on the cheek to encourage him?

An adolescent is subject to the same rulings as an adult regarding the impermissibility of looking at, touching, or exposing oneself to the awrah of women, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And let them not expose their adornment except what [ordinarily] appears thereof. And let them draw their headcovers over their bosoms. And let them not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women." (An-Nur: 31). What the questioner did, kissing and touching these students, is considered unlawful in Islamic law. She must repent to Allah and firmly resolve not to return to such an act.
