What is the meaning of "they will have a share of what they have earned" in the noble verse?

The exegetes (mufassirun) differed concerning the meaning of “those” (ula’ik) in the verse: “Those will have a share of what they have earned” (Sūrat al-Baqarah, 2:202). Some are of the view that it refers to the group that combines the good of this world and the Hereafter, and that “share” (naṣīb) here means the reward for their deeds and supplications.

While others hold that “those” (ula’ik) includes both groups: those who limited themselves to this world, and those who sought the good of both this world and the Hereafter, and that each of them will have a share of what they earned, be it good or evil. In this case, “earning” (al-kasb) is not limited to supplication but encompasses all deeds.

They also differed on the meaning of “a share of what they have earned.” Some opined that earning here refers to supplication, and the meaning of share is its acceptance. Others held that earning encompasses actions generally, and the share will be a reward or a punishment, depending on the type of earning.
