Does reciting Surat Al-Baqarah expel jinn, devils, and maradah (powerful devils) and prevent the harm of magic from its reciter, and are these virtues attained by listening to it daily from tapes, MP3s, or mobile phones?

Reciting Surat Al-Baqarah expels devils and protects from magic. Contemporary scholars have differed on whether this benefit is achieved merely by listening to it from tapes or similar devices. Some, like Ibn Baz, believe it is, while others, like Ibn Uthaymeen, believe it is not, holding that the sound from a tape is not like direct recitation. Therefore, one should strive to recite it and not be content with playing audio devices, even if there is good in them.
