Is the proposed method of learning Hanbali jurisprudence and then moving on to other schools of thought a sound approach, and is it better to memorize all the matn (texts) or just one, and what are the books or video clips that explain how to study jurisprudence and delve deeper into the different schools of thought?

A student of knowledge is advised to commit to a proficient shaykh in their country for studying knowledge. If that is not possible, then they should listen to an accredited explanation by one of the trustworthy shaykhs for the matn (text) they intend to begin with. For studying Hanbali fiqh, it is recommended to start with the two matns, "Daleel al-Talib" or "Zad al-Mustaqni'", and then progress to "Al-Muntaha" and "Al-Iqna'". After mastering Hanbali fiqh, one can study other madhahib (schools of thought) by starting with concise matns such as "Abi Shuja'" for the Shafi'is, "Risalah Ibn Abi Zayd" for the Malikis, and "Al-Ikhtiyar" for the Hanafis, then gradually moving to more extensive books.
