Is a woman required to cover her face after becoming Muslim?

If a woman embraces Islam, she is obligated to adhere to its laws. Regarding the issue of covering the face, it should be noted that scholars differ on this matter. If the woman has lived in a country where covering the face is not customary, she should be gradually commanded to do so, in order to win her heart and endear Islam to her.
