What is the ruling on a man caressing his wife in front of people?

It is not permissible for a man to establish relationships with women who are unlawful for him, whether through direct contact or by phone, except for a valid Shar'i (Islamic legal) need. He must strive to change this reprehensible act. It is permissible to use tawriyah (allusory speech) by saying "not in the house," intending another house. There is no harm in a man playfully touching his wife, such as touching her hand, etc., without intending sensual pleasure in front of people. However, acts intended for sensual pleasure and enjoyment should not be done where others can see them.
