Is it necessary to remove nose and ear piercings when performing wudu to ensure water reaches the piercing hole?

There is no requirement to remove an ear stud or nose ring worn for adornment when performing ablution (Wudu') or ritual bath (Ghusl). Rather, it suffices to wash the outer part of the ear and nose. In ablution and ritual bath, what is obligatory is to wash the outer surface of the nose, and the act of sniffing water (istinshaq) can be achieved even with the presence of the piercing and the nose ring. As for the ear, it is recommended to wipe it during ablution, and the area of the ear stud is not required to be wiped. In the ritual bath, the ear is washed, and the piercing of the ear stud is excused by the Shafi'is because it is considered internal.
