Does a wife's marriage to another man, then her divorce from him at the request of the previous husband, make her lawful for him again?

Your divorce of your wife with three pronouncements of divorce made her irrevocably separated from you with a major ( baynunah kubra ) separation. You have no way back to her unless she marries another husband in a valid marriage of desire, fulfilling all conditions of validity, and he consummates the marriage with her, and then divorces her. Only then does she become permissible for you again through a new contract. Ibn Qudamah stipulated for her to be permissible for the first husband that she marries someone else, that the marriage be valid, and that he has vaginal intercourse with her. If your former wife seeks divorce from her second husband by her own desire without your intervention, you would not be considered a seducer ( mukhabbib ). We emphasize that providing accommodation for the nurtured child is, by consensus, an obligation upon his guardian.
