Do the guardian angels know the inner discourse of the soul and record it against us, and will we be held accountable for it?

The angel comes to know what is in the human heart either by Allah informing him of it, or by Allah creating in him a knowledge by which he perceives it. This is supported by the fact that the angel finds a good scent for the intention of a good deed, and an evil scent for an evil deed. As for remembrance in the heart without moving the tongue, its doer is rewarded for it, but not with the reward associated with verbal utterance, which is not realized without articulation by the tongue. Some scholars are of the opinion that moving the tongue is sufficient, even if no sound is produced.
