What is the ruling on a woman marrying after her first husband divorced her, and before her waiting period (iddah) expired, mistakenly believing it to be three months and ten days, then her second husband divorced her three times, and she returned to him each time without her family's knowledge, and she fears that her life with him might be unlawful?

If the mufti is a knowledgeable and trustworthy scholar, and all circumstances have been fully explained to him, then it is permissible to act upon his fatwa and not repeat the question; as Allah Almighty says: "So ask the people of the message if you do not know." And the common person should seek out the most knowledgeable person of his time. However, if there is doubt about the mufti or the clarity of the issue, it is preferable to consult the Sharia court. Caution must be exercised in matters of marriage and private parts.
