Does divorce in Islam necessitate legal registration?

Divorce occurs merely by uttering it or writing it with the intention of divorce. It is not a condition for it to be written, recorded, witnessed, or declared before a court or the wife. Its registration in court is for the preservation of rights and to prevent tampering with the limits set by Allah, especially if it is an irrevocable divorce, but it is not a condition for the occurrence of divorce.
