What is the Shar'i ruling on dealing with cats regarding: gifting them, separating them from their offspring after weaning, releasing them into the street, abusing them, and giving them injections to prevent reproduction?

It is permissible to raise cats at home and gift them to those who will care for them. There is no harm in separating a cat from its mother. It is permissible to hit them for discipline. There is also no objection to releasing them into the street.
