Is earning from the legal profession doubtful or is it forbidden?

The origin of the legal profession is permissible if the lawyer seeks truth and avoids falsehood. He must defend his client if the truth is on his side, and advise him to drop the lawsuit and return rights if the truth is not on his side.

If the case is presented before a Sharia court, there is no objection. However, if the client chooses a man-made court when Sharia courts are available, it is not permissible to assist him.

If the client is compelled to resort to a man-made court (for example, if a lawsuit is filed against him or if no other option exists), it is permissible for the lawyer to engage with him, provided that: the ruling of Sharia in the case is observed, no defense is offered for a falsehood, no claim is made for a right that does not belong to the client, and the truth is clarified and spoken.
