The question

What is the ruling on working as a supervisor of warehouses for a company that distributes newspapers and magazines, which often include content that misleads people and mixes truth with falsehood, some of which deal with art and contain indecent pictures and trivial topics, knowing that the company also distributes some beneficial publications, but they are very few? Is it permissible to continue in this work due to dire financial need, or must one leave it immediately?

The answer

As long as the company's primary work is printing and promoting artistic magazines that contain news of male and female artists, it is not permissible for you to remain in it if your work is mixed with or supportive of unlawful activities. This is because it falls under the category of cooperation in sin and aggression, and aiding in unlawful acts is forbidden. However, if you are compelled to do this work and cannot find another means to meet your essential needs and those you support, then continuing in it becomes a matter of necessity that permits the prohibited. But if your work in this company is not connected to aiding in reprehensible acts and is limited only to the permissible aspects, then there is no blame upon you for remaining in this work, although it is more pious to leave it.
