ما معنى حديث: "المولود للفراش" وهل يشمل كل مولود أم حالات محددة؟

The hadith "The child is for the bed" is agreed upon. It means that the child is attributed to the owner of the bed (the husband) if his wife or female slave gives birth to him six months after their cohabitation. This entails rulings such as inheritance and others, regardless of resemblance. The only exceptions to this are the husband's repudiation of the child through li'an (oath of condemnation), or the child being born less than six months after the marriage contract, or the impossibility of procreation from the husband, such as if he is a child (too young) or emasculated.
