What should a son do when showing filial piety to one parent leads to the anger of the other, accompanied by continuous accusations of abuse towards the latter?

Filial piety towards parents is one of the greatest acts of drawing closer to Allah. He commanded us to be good to them and linked it with His worship and giving thanks to Him. The right of the mother is greater than the right of the father, as she was mentioned three times in the hadith. The son must strive to please his parents and treat them with kindness, reconcile between them, and clarify that each of them has a right without contradiction, so honoring one does not mean disobeying the other. There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator, and one must be kind to them even if they are polytheists.
