What is the ruling on gatherings for supplication after ختم القرآن (reciting the entire Quran), asking the Imam about dreams after Fajr prayer, and collective non-audible dhikr (remembrance of Allah) specified by the Imam? Are these actions considered innovations (bid'ah)?

A Muslim must beware of innovations (bid'ah), which are every invented way in religion that parallels the Sharia, or every act of worship that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not perform despite the presence of its necessitating factor and the absence of any impediment. It is recommended to supplicate after completing the recitation of the Qur'an and for people to gather for it, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Recite the Qur'an and ask Allah by it, before there come people who recite the Qur'an and ask people by it." It is also recommended to ask the Imam about the dreams of others, following the example of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as he used to ask his companions after the Fajr prayer, "Did any of you have a dream last night?" As for gathering for prescribed remembrance (dhikr), it is permissible if it is not adopted as a habit at specific times, or if they gather for dhikr with one voice.
