Scholars have differed regarding the authenticity of the hadith concerning the virtue of whoever dies on Friday or its eve. Some have deemed it weak, such as Ibn Hajar, Al-Mundhiri, and Shu'ayb Al-Arna'ut, while others have deemed it good (hasan), such as Al-Albani. The appearance of signs of a good ending does not definitively guarantee entry into Paradise, and their absence does not signify a bad ending, for that is among the matters of the unseen.
