Is it correct to place hands on a charity and supplicate aloud for the one giving the charity, as a group?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The described method of supplicating for the one who gives charity by placing hands on the money and raising voices collectively is not permissible because it is an innovation (bid'ah). However, supplicating for the one who gives charity in general is legislated, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever does you a favor, then repay him. If you do not find what to repay him with, then supplicate for him until you think that you have repaid him."
