The meaning of "Astaghfirullah Al-Atheem" (I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Most Great) is a request for forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, as the letters "seen" and "taa'" in the Arabic word for seeking forgiveness denote a request. Forgiveness means the concealment of sins in this world and not being held accountable for them in the Hereafter. This supplication is great, for whoever says it, "he will be forgiven, even if he had fled from the battlefield."
