What is the clear explanation of the Prophet's saying (peace be upon him): "There is no divorce in obstruction (or compulsion)"?

The hadith "There is no divorce nor manumission in ighlaq" is interpreted in several ways: duress, or extreme anger, or insanity, or the issuance of three divorces at once. The most preponderant view is that ighlaq includes duress, insanity, idiocy, and extreme anger that removes reason or prevents one from intending (the divorce).
