Are the children allowed to attend their mother's funeral prayer in the church, visit her grave, and pray for mercy for her? Are they rightfully entitled to inherit from her, and how should the inheritance be divided? Is it permissible to carry out her will to divide her gold among the daughters, excluding the sons?

A will involving gold for her daughters is not valid for two reasons: The first is that it is the will of an apostate who died upon disbelief, and the will of an apostate becomes null and void upon their death in apostasy. The second reason is that it is a bequest to an heir, and a bequest to an heir is legally prohibited. As for attending her funeral, the fatwa (definition) we hold is that it is permissible.
