How many days is Eid al-Fitr, and is the drumming specific to the first day, and how many days is Eid al-Adha?

Al-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud narrated from Anas that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah, glory be to Him, has substituted for you something better than them: the day of Eid al-Fitr and the day of Eid al-Adha." The days of Tashreeq are appended to Eid al-Adha, based on the hadith: "The day of Fitr, the day of Nahr, and the days of Tashreeq are our Eid, the people of Islam," narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and authenticated by him.

The days of Tashreeq are three days after Eid al-Adha (Nahr). Hadiths have been reported indicating that showing joy and happiness is recommended on all days of Eid, such as the hadith of Aisha concerning the two girls who were singing and beating the tambourine on the day of Eid. The permissibility of beating the tambourine is not exclusive to Eid day; it is also permissible and even recommended at weddings, and similarly, it is permissible to beat it for any joyful occasion, such as a birth, the recovery of a sick person, or the arrival of a dear one.
