What is the difference between dam (sacrifice) and hady (offering) in the rituals of Hajj?

"Al-Hadi" (the sacrificial animal) is a name for everything a Muslim dedicates to the Haram, and it includes livestock animals and other things. It is divided into two categories: obligatory and recommended. As for the term "al-dam" (the blood/slaughtered animal), it is applied to the obligatory sacrifice from the Hadi, such as the Hadi for Tamattu' and Qiran (types of Hajj), and the Hadi that becomes obligatory due to committing a prohibited act or neglecting an obligation. It is a more specific term than "al-Hadi."
