Is it permissible, after reciting the Quran, to hold a Quranic ختمة (completion ceremony) at home?

"There is no harm in gathering to complete the recitation of the Quran. Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, used to gather his family and supplicate when he completed the Quran. It is narrated from Mujahid that they used to gather upon the completion of the Quran and say, 'Indeed, mercy descends when the Quran is completed.'"
