Is it permissible to take a wage from someone whose expenses are covered by their family, knowing that the wage is much less than the monthly amount spent?

If the payment is a reward and not a contractual agreement, then there is no objection. However, if it is a contractual agreement:

- If the expenditure (nafaqa) is legally obligatory, it is not permissible to take compensation for it.

- If it is not obligatory:

- If the duration of the expenditure is unknown, then contracting for it is impermissible due to gharar (excessive uncertainty).

- If the duration is known, then there is no objection to contracting for it.
