Should one move the finger during the first and second Tashahhud?

Moving the finger during thetashahhud is authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the hadith of Wa'il ibn Hujr, may Allah be pleased with him. This indicates that the manner is the same for both the first and second tashahhud. This is what the people of knowledge have adopted, and Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned in "Al-Zad" the unrestricted application of this description to both tashahhud s, counting it among the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
