Does the supplication, "O Allah, protect us from fornication," contradict the etiquette of supplication if said publicly?

This supplication does not contradict the etiquette of supplication, even if it is recited openly. However, if there is no need to vocalize it, then secrecy is more befitting, due to Allah's saying: "Call upon your Lord humbly and secretly. Indeed, He does not like transgressors." It is better to supplicate with what is mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah, such as the Prophet's (peace be upon him) supplication: "O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency."
