What is the ruling of the Sharia on a husband who ends his marriage without informing or discussing it with his wife, under the influence of his mother who seeks to separate the couple?

The husband must provide independent housing for his wife, and it is not permissible to force her to live with his family, especially if there was a prior condition to fulfill that. The husband erred by not fulfilling the condition, by abandoning his wife, and by neglecting the obligatory financial support due to her. It is advisable to involve benevolent people to resolve the dispute. If he does not respond, the wife may refer the matter to the judiciary to annul the marriage and reclaim her rights.
