It is not permissible to participate in profiting from advertisements in exchange for a sum paid by the subscriber, even if the advertisements are permissible, because paying a consideration makes the transaction forbidden gambling. The profits are given in exchange for the amount paid in the subscription, and not in exchange for viewing the advertisements. What is called "renting the page" is a trick to take the subscription amount in exchange for profits.
