The maximum duration of menstruation, according to the majority of scholars, is fifteen days. If your bleeding does not exceed this period, then all of it is considered menstruation. However, if the bleeding exceeds fifteen days, then you should revert to your previous habit [duration of menstruation], and anything beyond that is considered istihadah (definition) (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding). You must perform ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) after the completion of your menstrual days. Then, you should perform wudu (ablution) for each prayer after its time has entered, and you must make up the prayers you missed, thinking you were menstruating.
