It is permissible to pay Zakat in advance in monthly installments if the wealth reaches the nisab, and this falls under the category of permissible expedited Zakat. When the hawl (one lunar year) is completed, if the amount paid was less than what was due, the remainder must be paid. If it was more, the excess is considered sadaqah. However, if the wealth decreases below the nisab, then expediting Zakat is not valid, and whatever is given at that time should be intended as a voluntary sadaqah.
